What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a warm, kind, respectful, and understanding therapist. My clients may need help with a specific issue or multiple issues, they are unsure of what they want from therapy, or they simply want to talk to someone, I am here for them. Regardless of whether, you are a child learning social skills, a teen figuring out their identities, an adult managing life transitions, a family understanding each other, or a couple learning to increase their communication skills, I will provide assistance and support.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with those wanting to positively cope with a variety of issues such as ADHD, ASD, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, those who have trouble dealing with their emotions, and those with low self-esteem. I enjoy working with adults and children using person center therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and solution focused brief therapy. I use empathy and active listening to adapt my style of therapy, such as using motivational interviewing with those that want to be successful with their goals. I often use more than one modality such as trauma informed care with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I establish trust and rapport by moving at a pace that goes along with your needs and issues.
