UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems that cause emotional turmoil; improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health. I use a variety of treatment approaches to support my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Person-Centered Therapy-some of my favorites. I am laid back and build rapport easily with people from all walks of life. I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston. Let me help you today to become mentally and emotionally better.

Leah is a great listener and had insights about me almost immediately that made me feel heard.

This is my first time in couples therapy but I did not find the therapist to keep a neutral stance on our situation. There were several times during the session where I felt she took my spouse’s side and within 5 minutes of beginning our session told me that my spouse has made up their mind about the state of our marriage and it would not be changing and that was that. This was extremely disheartening as I began the session believing I was speaking to a neutral party. Now my spouse doesn’t even want to consider looking for another therapist, because why would she if she is being told everything she is saying is correct and being validated?

Amazing, we feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful therapist. This is the first therapist we have encountered that actually listens AND works with you to get you where you want or need to be, rather than just listening and sending you away empty handed with no direction.
