“Lily has made such a difference in my life. Before beginning together, I was struggling to reconcile my identities with my family expectations. My self-confidence was non-existent, and relationships were too hard. Now I feel so much more aware of the thought patterns and sensations that keep me sad and lonely, and I’ve learned how to care for myself. I feel so much relief. Being myself, in my body feels great. ”

Getting to know Lily Meyersohn

Maybe you're tired of performing an old version of yourself––the steady one, the one who has it all together, the one who makes everyone else comfortable. Maybe you’re navigating questions about your identity, your relationships, or what authenticity actually means in a world with so many expectations and so much pressure. Inside, you might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck––and exhausted from carrying it alone. You deserve a space where you can stop performing and start exploring who you really are beneath all the shoulds and supposed-tos. I specialize in working with adults and couples navigating relationship distress, trauma, and identity exploration. I draw from psychoanalytic and relational models as well as AEDP and EFT to help your authentic self emerge. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationships. That includes the relationship you have with yourself. As a hospice and palliative care doula, I have worked with people experiencing grief, loss, and illness and hold deep respect for times of transition. You might be carrying a lot, but you don't have to figure it all out alone. I’m accepting new clients––reach out when you’re ready to begin. Please note that I am an out-of-network provider with all insurances. I can provide you with a superbill to help you obtain reimbursement from your insurance company and am happy to walk you through the reimbursement process so that our sessions are covered by your insurance.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My expertise will help you break through the fog of anxious and depressive symptoms using experiental and somatic modalities like AEDP and EFT, which aim to go deeper than traditional talk therapy. I also bring a background in psychodynamic therapy and in mindful self-compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. We will meet for a 30-minute free consultation before finding a consistent time to meet, either in-person or virtually. I also work with couples of all orientations and relationship styles, with a particular emphasis on queer couples. I help couples address issues in communication, conflict, lack of desire, intimacy, disconnection, and trauma.

Lily helped my partner and I work past some pretty tough stuff - now we see each other more, have a greater love and appreciation for each other, and connect more deeply. I so highly recommend her for couple's work.
Lily is a compassionate listener and so knowledgable about grief work and relationship issues. She supported me when I had a friend in hospice and I was worried about saying the wrong thing. Lily listened with such care and empathy and helped me be present for what I knew was the last time I would speak with my friend. I highly recommend Lily!
