Psychotherapist
NY
Greetings and welcome to my therapy space. I am glad you stopped by, and wanted to see if we may fit into your therapy journey. If you choose, I share part of your journey, you will find I specialize in helping people understand their boundaries, helping people with anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD symptom management. I have worked with folks from many backgrounds, and I take a client-centered approach and want to empower people to work on their goals. I hope you look around, let me know if you have any questions, and I hope I can help you on your healing path. My approach I lean toward being holistic and client-centered. I have training and resources in ACT, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and mindfulness skills. My therapeutic mindset goes back to "everything needs to be done in balance" and how to help enhance what you are already doing for coping skills. You are your biggest expert, and I am here to help. Getting to know you, what ways you want to improve, and how to help you change patterns that are not working, or figure out the barriers that are preventing the change, are important. My focus I have worked with people across the lifespan. For the past five years, I have worked with youth and teens. I also work with young adults and adults, helping them adjust to different life transitions, figure out their boundaries, and understand themselves in response to life stressors. I help people recover from emotional abuse, and have helped people navigate complex relationships, particularly relationships with parents as their parents get older and they are getting older. I help you figure out how to reparent yourself if you need to. My communication style I empower and am direct. Every session starts with "what do you wantt today?" and we go from there. I am patient, and will help you process your thoughts, emotions, and needs with a nonjudgmental stance. I reinforce that you are not alone, and that you do not need to apologize for how you show up in your space.
