“I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just “graduated” and felt like I had to share how great my experience was with Mary Volk! I started doing PT after a serious ankle injury and was nervous about whether I’d be able to get back to playing sports at the level I was used to. Having Mary was a game changer in my recovery process. She made the whole process feel manageable/doable and kept me motivated the entire way. The thing I appreciated the most with Mary was that every session was focused, encouraging, and really well thought out. The at-home exercises she gave me were also tailored to fit my lifestyle, so they were easy to stay consistent with. I genuinely could feel the difference they made week to week. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all plan because everything was really specific to my needs and goals. Mary and the rest of the team (shoutout Kelli and Marc) brought a warm and welcoming feel to the practice. I actually looked forward to going every week. This made a huge difference during a time that could’ve felt pretty stressful. Long story short I can’t recommend Mary enough for anyone who needs physical therapy. She really helped me rebuild not just my strength, but also my confidence in getting back out there. I’m really grateful I got to work with her. As a dedicated physical therapist at StarPro Physical Therapy in Manhattan, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my early experiences in a rigorous pre-professional dance company. Facing the need for rehabilitation at a young age introduced me to the transformative field of physical therapy. I pursued this passion through Ithaca College's six-year accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy program, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

This was my first physical therapy session ever and I am happy that my therapist was Mary Volk. The first session was enlightening and very helpful, she listened and set to out to work immediately on my shoulder issue. She is very knowledgeable and friendly.
