I'm Masen, a licensed Social Worker with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Ferris State University. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Psychology at Central Michigan University.
I have experience working with a wide array of people, including children, young adults, adults, elderly adults, individuals, couples, and families. I have a history of supporting individuals for many diverse reasons for seeking therapy, with my expertise being in self esteem, anxiety, depression, gender-affirming care, and LGBTQ+ issues.
I like to adjust my approach to therapy based on the individual client and their specific needs and goals. This might mean using specific modalities such as talk therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, strengths-based therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy. However, it could also involve a combination of different treatment models to best help you get what you want from therapy.
I strongly believe therapy works best when we are working together. This starts from session one, where I aim to provide you with a safe and supportive atmosphere, free of judgment and full of compassion and empathy. I am here for you-to empower and assist you in building self-worth, improving quality of life, decreasing negative feelings, and healing from your past.
