Psychotherapist
NY
I specialize in supporting teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life stressors. My approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, bottom-up perspective, which means we focus not only on your thoughts but also on how your body and nervous system respond to stress. In our first few sessions, you can expect a warm, down-to-earth space where we build trust, explore what’s bringing you in, and begin creating a plan that feels realistic and supportive. What makes my practice different is my use of somatic techniques, my ability to hold space for complex trauma I often use a bottom-up approach in my work, which means we'll pay close attention to how your body holds and responds to emotional experiences. Throughout treatment, I'll help you become more aware of how your physical responses connect to your emotions, and teach you how to challenge unhelpful thoughts so you can begin to feel more in control and at ease.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, and trauma, particularly when these challenges stem from relationships or family dynamics. In our first session, we'll take time to explore your main concerns and begin building a personalized plan to support your healing. Many of my clients notice a gradual easing of symptoms within the first few weeks, followed by meaningful progress over time. I foster a supportive, non-judgmental space through clear, open communication and active listening. As an empathetic partner, I’ll guide you in reflecting on your experiences with patience and calm, especially during challenging moments.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My path to therapy was shaped by a deep curiosity about human resilience and a desire to help others navigate life’s toughest challenges. During graduate training, I worked with trauma survivors, an experience that highlighted the transformative power of therapy and reinforced my commitment to supporting healing. I’m guided by a core belief in each person’s capacity for growth and change, and I find it deeply rewarding to witness clients build confidence and find peace I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. Together, we’ll set goals that reflect your priorities—whether it’s strengthening relationships, building self-esteem, or pursuing other personal growth. As your insights deepen, we’ll adjust our approach to keep it relevant and meaningful. I’m here to support you with the tools and guidance needed to keep moving forward, even when challenges arise.
