Hello, I'm Michael J. di Salvo (He/Him/His), a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker with over thirty years of experience. I am licensed and certified in multiple states and specialize in working with adults (18 years and older). My therapeutic approach is grounded in various evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Grief and Loss Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Positive Psychology. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, welcoming, affirming, reflective, and nonjudgmental space for all my clients. My goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and transitions, whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationships. I have a deep commitment to working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and individuals who have experienced discrimination, racism, or other forms of bias. In addition to individual therapy, I also offer clinical supervision for professionals seeking supervisory hours. I graduated with honors from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, research, and internships.
