“Michelle is the first counsler that listens to me. She discusses my issue's, she doesn't say " ok i understand you are upset about that but we need to work but we need to work on whatever that counselor thinks we need to work on. She understands my current situations are all over the place. She is the first counselor I feel i never want to loose.”

Getting to know Michelle Perry

Hello, I'm Michelle. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and you might just need someone to process your experiences with or help you navigate and facilitate change. Whether you've tried therapy before or are just thinking about giving it a try, I offer a kind and judgment-free therapeutic experience where you'll feel supported, heard, and challenged. My clients' experiences range from adjusting to life transitions and changes, to depression and anxiety, to substance use, codependency, and trauma. Whether you're dealing with relationship changes and life transitions or are in the depths of depression and anxiety, I have multiple tools and modalities to offer support and navigate change. I am trained in EMDR and use this modality quite a bit. I also use CBT, DBT, and other approaches as needed and appropriate. Many of my clients tell me that I am easy to talk to, and they are often surprised and relieved by my non-judgmental approach. I received my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012. I spent 15 years working as a social worker in skilled nursing facilities and 7 years as the Director of Bereavement for a local hospice. My work experiences, combined with my personal ones, have allowed me to become a compassionate and empathetic counselor, trained to meet clients where they are in their life experiences. I am a certified Grief Educator, trained by David Kessler, and have completed EMDR training (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to support you on your journey. Let's work together to navigate the challenges you're facing and find a path forward.
