I hold a Master's in Social Work from City University of New York, Hunter College, along with post-master's training in family and couples therapy and doctoral coursework from Wurzweilwe School of Social Work. Over the years, I have served as a supervisor, administrator, adjunct professor, and community organizer. I have also worked with many clients in the performing and creative arts, which resonates deeply with my own passion for the arts. I believe in truly being present with the client to retrieve aspects of self that may have been lost or split off, reclaiming these parts where healing and transformation can take place. My approach is eclectic, tailored to each client, ranging from psychodynamic to gestalt or systems approaches. I also believe in empowering a vision of the whole person through an integrative approach to therapy, where mindfulness and other stress-reducing techniques can be highly effective and life-altering, fostering wholeness and balance on each client's unique journey.
