Hi there, I'm Nicholas! My name is Nicholas Lombardi, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Adelphi University. Since 2008, I have been working in the field of social work across many different areas, which has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and enhance my abilities to provide the best therapeutic process for my clients' needs. My approach I specialize in trauma therapy, utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as psychotherapy. My focus I have worked with a wide variety of clients throughout my career and have no specific comfort level—I am always up for a challenge. My communication style I am a very direct therapist who works well with diverse populations to provide a calm, safe, open, and non-judgmental space for my clients to achieve their best growth and long-term stability. My journey to mental healthcare Through personal experiences, I have always wanted to understand why people behave the way they do. I have always been a supportive, caring, and open-minded individual who enjoys providing knowledge, values, and skills to people during difficult times. Watching people grow and make positive changes in their lives drives me to assist and support them to the best of my abilities. My goals for you I believe it is best to develop a treatment plan with my clients so they feel comfortable with the achievable goals of their therapeutic process. My first session with you I allow my clients to guide the first session to ensure they feel comfortable. Creating rapport is important for a positive therapeutic process, and I will always meet clients where they are at.
