He also holds a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, a Master’s in Theology and Cross-Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, and completed studies at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. Besides his clinical training, he has rich educational and professional experiences in Business Management & Marketing, Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Theology & Spirituality Studies, and Cross-Cultural Studies.
Raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dr. Bentson moved to the United States at age 30. He has raised four children and experienced a long-term marriage, divorce, dating, and the development of meaningful adult relationships. He has undergone multiple career, cultural, religious, and worldview changes. This unique mix of life experiences contributes to his therapeutic sensitivity, creativity, and integrative approach to psychological treatment.

What should a new client know about working with you?
You can schedule your first 45-55 minute appointment with Dr. Bentson on ZocDoc now. For this you must also complete the consent, insurance, and billing forms. Without this we cannot begin our session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
During your first sessions you will have an opportunity to share aspects of your past and urgent issues you want help with. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions about the process and about Dr. Bentson. During this initial stage Dr Bentson may be able to clarify what underlying issues may need to be addressed as therapy unfolds. The session may also include an introduccion to selfcare practices that foster somatic connection, acceptance, self-regulation, agency, and trust.
