About Dr. Pamela Kokoros

Dr. Pamela Kokoros, PT, DPT Physical Therapist Pronouns: She/Her I spent my early childhood in Brooklyn where my family members occupied the neighboring homes and I played with my cousins until our mothers called us in for dinner. I spent most of my life in Rockland County where I discovered the wonders of nature and some of my best friends. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Anthropology from Fordham University and spent several years after that writing for various publications about health and running. I made the decision to become a physical therapist after injuring my quadriceps muscles during a race. I experienced my first pain free marathon after participating in physical therapy. After seeing first hand what physical therapy could do and how effortless running became with my PT’s guidance, I decided this was what I wanted to give other people. Being an expert in movement would also reinforce writing about health and fitness. I obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mercy College and have worked in both inpatient hospitals and outpatient clinics. I have experience with a large variety of orthopedic injuries, neurologic conditions, and have taken classes in pelvic floor and yoga for pain. My goal is to get to know my patients and their lifestyles in order to work together and make modifications or implement specific tools that can decrease their pain and improve their ability to perform their favorite activities. With the incorporation of tools like manual therapy for myofacial release, specific exercises to encourage proper muscle engagement and promote stability and influence endurance, we work together as a team to personalize a plan of care unique to each patient’s needs. Core Values: Kindness, self-care, keeping an open mind, jumping into new experiences “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Pamela was amazing, kind, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding and the 1-on-1 space and attention is incredibly valuable and nothing I've experienced in my 20-year PT journey. I am so hopeful, finally!
Dr. Pamela was patience itself and thoroughly professional. I left my first appointment with her, feeling hopeful that my exhausted & painful 75-year-old body was in the best hands.
I have been working with Pamela for the past few months to regain my upper body mobility and range of motion after a surgery. Pamela is a very knowledgeable and personable/supportive physical therapist. She did a very thorough evaluation when we started working together and really listened to my concerns and goals in order to customize a program to quickly alleviate the tightness and discomfort. I felt a lot better in just a few sessions. The beautiful office with the amazing views is an added bonus. I love working with Pamela in this patient-friendly practice and will definitely recommend her!
I have had an amazing experience with both Pamela and Myriah at this practice! They could not be more knowledgeable, caring, and fun to be around. Working with them has resulted in major improvements in long-term pain from an old injury, which had not responded to any prior interventions. I am so grateful for the results and I highly recommend this practice.
Pam is excellent and the office efficient.
Good-Life was a game changer for me and my neck pain and related issues. I tried one of the national chain PT in network providers first and it was night and day with respect to the level of care and one-on-one attention you get at GoodLife. you are not doing stretches in the corner while they work on other clients, which many PTs will do. They are worth every penny. Pamela is a true healer and gives you full one-on-one attention for the full hour. I would not be in the functional state I am in if it weren't for Pamela. Highly highly recommend Pamela and Good-Life in general!
Love this place. Do not hesitate to go! Great space with everything you need to learn and practice your exercises. One on one special treatment to make sure you're doing everything properly and that everything done caters to what you need. I worked with Pamela and she’s amazing! She helped me learn my weaknesses and get stronger to return to running. She also helped me with an arm injury and provided immediate pain relief on short notice. I've been to many other PT offices for running related injuries and none of them felt like it was a good match for me. This office is what I've been longing for. Perfect match. Its been amazing to find this office and this group of people. They cater to my needs, listen to my issues, and successfully tackle the road to recovery.
The one-on-one sessions, the Homework App and the talented staff make Good Life, in my opinion, a Five Star facility. In addition to having a pleasant and cheerful demeanor, Dr Pam Kokoros is a skilled and knowledgeable professional who pays attention to details, asks questions, and is guiding me to a successful recovery.
Dr. Pamela was great! She's been my go to therapist for a while and just moved practices, so I am happy to keep seeing her at Good Life Physical Therapy.
Dr. Pamela was great - she was really informative about my issue, knew exactly what to do, and was patient and fun to work with. The appointment didn't feel rushed and everyone in the office was really great. I'm really happy I get to work with her to take care of my hip pain. I wish all physical therapy offices were like this!
