Dr. Remy Nelson’s life’s purpose compelled him to found Empowered Life Counseling, Inc. to help those who have a desire to feel better, who strive to live a better life, or at least really want to try to live a better life. Dr. Nelson is at best a student of life and of his clients, gently seeking to understand you, the client, and explore how to best help you align with your true intentions and well-being. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Dr. Nelson was a hospice chaplain for over a decade. Applying his experience in therapy with clients, Dr. Nelson brings unique perspectives, skills, knowledge, and years of experience. He holds an MEd in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Barry University. He is most qualified to handle challenges with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and spirituality issues. He also provides clinical supervision to mental health counseling interns working toward licensure.
