Getting to know Ruth Israeli

I am a bi-coastal therapist based in New York City and Los Angeles. I am available to assist with stress and anxiety as they relate directly to stressors from work, family, or other relationships. I specialize in couples and relationship therapy and have developed a niche practice in the tech community, working with startup founders and tech companies. I work in a collaborative manner that encourages you, as the client, to work hard toward your goals. While I am available to work with individuals, I specialize in couples and family work. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University and completed a four-year postgraduate training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, where I earned a Certificate in Family Therapy. My background includes working with individuals around issues related to anxiety and depression, couples struggling with infidelity or sexual dysfunction, and families coping with parenting and co-parenting challenges. If you are an individual looking to begin your own personal process—kudos! If you are a couple struggling with relationship issues related to communication, trust, sexual difficulties, infertility, divorce, infidelity, or power struggles, you are in the right place. Here’s how it works: individual sessions are 45 minutes, and couples and family sessions are 50 minutes.
