Dr. Sallette Thompson, PsyD

Psychologist
CO
With over 25 years of experience in trauma treatment, anxiety, depression, dissociation, sleep disturbance, and various therapeutic modalities, I am dedicated to guiding you towards healing and growth. Originally from Philadelphia, I have traversed diverse landscapes, from the remote “bush” areas of Alaska to the vibrant community of Colorado. My journey in psychology began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1992. Subsequently, I pursued advanced degrees, obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) and a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I honed my skills during an internship at the Southern Arizona Psychology Internship Consortium, focusing on Community Mental Health. Returning to Fairbanks after completing my Doctorate, I immersed myself in various roles, including contributing to the Fetal Alcohol Diagnostic team and serving on the Governor’s Council for Disabilities and Special Education. For the past 15 years, I have continued my practice in Colorado, blending my extensive experience with a commitment to ongoing learning and growth. In therapy, I prioritize collaboration and mutual respect. Together, we embark on a journey towards self-discovery, drawing upon evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Brain Synchronization Therapy, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My eclectic whole-person approach addresses the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, empowering you to navigate the impacts of trauma and reclaim your well-being. Beyond trauma-focused therapy, I specialize in supporting individuals facing phobias, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, complicated bereavement, terminal illness, and issues within the LGBTQIA community.
