Hello! My name is Scott Silver, and I am an LCSW licensed in both New York and Florida. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Barry University. I often utilize an eclectic, person-centered approach to treating adolescents and adults. I specialize in depression, anxiety, life transition issues, and relationship challenges. I also have deep exposure to and appreciation for people who are struggling with addiction and substance abuse. My approach I draw from several evidence-based methods, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and strengths-focused therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are, always incorporating empathy and compassion into my work. My focus I work with clients as young as 12 years old up to 65 years young. I am comfortable treating substance abuse/addiction, depression, anxiety, and life transition issues. My communication style I am warm, empathetic, and free of judgment. My eclectic approach allows me to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs. My journey to therapy Believe it or not, I was a corporate attorney before becoming an LCSW. At 32, I left law after realizing it wasn’t my passion and returned to school to pursue social work. My true passion lies in helping people be their best selves. My goals for you I collaborate with clients to create a treatment plan that aligns with their goals and objectives.
