Hi there, I'm Sean! I'm Dr. Sean Sullivan, an experienced clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, author, and meditator passionate about connecting one-on-one to work through various personal challenges and intentions. Let's meet to explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together. I earned my PsyD from Argosy University and hold a Bachelor's degree from Harvard College. My approach My main approach to increasing self-knowledge is easy to begin learning at thepresenceshift.com. By mastering listening to yourself, especially your inner dialogue, you'll more clearly hear your next viable step. You'll also practice shifting into the states of being you want to live in. When I know you better, I may suggest other therapeutic pathways to master knowing yourself. However we work together, you'll learn to feel your way through your unique challenges and personal development by getting more deeply in touch with yourself. If you want to explore specific therapeutic modalities like CBT, we can do that. My focus We can work through difficult life events, relationship changes, grief, anxiety, sadness, stress, or trauma. We'll practice opening doors to new ways of experiencing life or rediscovering a lost sense of yourself. My communication style A deep commitment to experiencing whatever arises in our present moments together will drive the tone of our therapy experience. As we get to know one another, we'll develop comfort communicating through a range of emotional states and experiences of emotional intimacy. My journey to mental healthcare In my early twenties, I realized I lacked the skills to cope with deeply felt losses and emotional traumas. I wanted to learn all I could to avoid repeating mistakes, living in pain, or avoiding scary things more than necessary. Becoming a therapist was my decision to dedicate my life to exploring what being human is while learning how to work with and share.
