CO
Hi, my name is Shannon. I am a licensed professional counselor and licensed addiction counselor in the state of Colorado. I often use EMDR, CBT and DBT to treat trauma, anxiety and depression. By reprocessing negative beliefs from past experiences, this provides clients with the ability to learn new behaviors and create new experiences that help you reach your goals and create long term change. I have been working in the mental health and addictions field since 2011. I have my M.A. in clinical counseling, LPC, and LAC. I have a wide range of experience spanning from inpatient psychiatric and addiction treatment, detox, and outpatient mental health, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I also advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. My specialties include anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, intimate/romantic relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, PTSD, stress, trauma, family/relationship issues, gender identity, grief/bereavement, life transitions. In our sessions, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where we will work together to uncover your strengths and build on them. I believe in the importance of creating a safe space where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and transitions, providing you with the tools and insights needed to thrive. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community and ensuring that everyone has access to the care and support they need. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life. If you're ready to take the next step, please reach out. Let's work together to help you become your best self.
