Getting to know Stacy Baum

Stacy obtained their master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Oswego. Starting from a Person Centered model, Stacy works with each client to maximize their unique strengths to overcome life’s challenges. They primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients reframe negative or unhelpful thinking. Stacy specializes in working with people who have trauma histories, specifically Domestic and Sexual Violence. As a queer and non-binary identifying person, Stacy has both lived experience with LGBTQIA+ issues, and experience with LGBTQIA+ clients. They also work full time in Supportive Housing working with a variety of issues including Crisis Intervention, Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Cooccurring Disorder, Homelessness, Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorder, and Suicidal Ideations.On a personal note, Stacy enjoys finding unique events, going to concerts, riding their bike, going to the gym, and spending time on the beach or at parks.
