Stan Moore, LCP

Psychologist
CA
I am a PhD and licensed Clinical Psychologist and have trained and worked for many years in the Veterans Administration, inpatient hospitals, community mental health centers, universities, private practice, pain management clinics, and research institutions. I believe a healthy person is someone who can love, work, and play, and I try to incorporate those values into my work and relationships every day. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Client-Centered approaches to provide clients with skills and tools they can use every day to change their thinking and their behaviors to live happier, healthier, and more successful lives. My focus I have many years of experience treating Anxiety Disorders, Phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, mood disorders including depression and Bipolar DO, chronic pain problems, assertiveness issues, chronic medical illness, workplace stress, and interpersonal issues. My communication style I provide my clients with a friendly, accepting, and non-judgmental environment in which they feel supported, heard, and safe to express their feelings and needs. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, cultures, genders, and orientations. My journey to mental healthcare I was originally trained as a research psychologist and have published many articles in medical and psychology journals. I have always enjoyed meeting new people and learning about their lives, so it was a natural progression for me to become a therapist so that I could share my knowledge of human behavior to help others live happier more productive lives. My goals for you I work collaboratively with clients to identify reasonable and concrete goals that will improve the quality of their lives.
