Life happens fast. It's a phrase people use, but its meaning isn't understood until it's felt. While growth can look and feel powerful on the outside, on inside, you may also feel anxious, stuck, conflicted, or unsure of who you are becoming. I believe therapy is a chance to slow things down — to take stock of what has happened and what is here now so that we help you prepare for what's next. My role as a therapist is not to tell you who to be — it’s to walk alongside you as we make sense of your experiences together. Through careful attention to your mind and body, we’ll identify your strengths and gently examine the patterns that may be keeping you from living fully. From there, we can begin making intentional shifts — not to change who you are, but to help you live more in line with your values. My goal is to help you build a life that feels grounded, authentic, and uniquely yours.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I was born in South Korea but raised primarily in rural Pennsylvania and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a bio-evolutionary focus from Pennsylvania State University (WE ARE!). I received my doctorate from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in the Bronx, NY. My clinical training includes: • Pre-doctoral internship at James J. Peters Bronx VAMC • Post-doctoral fellowship in geropsychology, clinical health psychology, and interprofessional training in geriatric primary care at VA NY Harbor Healthcare System

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and relational therapy. I work with individuals navigating: • Anxiety and depression • Trauma • Mood disorders • Identity exploration • Life transitions • Relationship concerns • Polyamory and ethical non-monogamy • Substance use • Grief, loss, and end-of-life concerns • Caregiver stress I have extensive training and experience supporting older adults, medically complex individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. While I work deeply and affirmatively with people of all genders, I have a particular interest and experience in advocating for men's mental health. As a queer Filipino American woman, I also understand what it means to navigate identity in spaces that send mixed or contradictory messages. Culture, family expectations, gender roles, sexuality, health status, and intergenerational experiences all shape how we move through the world. I actively consider these influences in our work together, adapting therapy to fit you — not the other way around.
