Getting to know Dr. Summer Johnson
Hello, I'm Dr. Summer Johnson, and I'm so glad you're here. My journey in psychology began in Kansas City, MO, where I grew up. I attended Truman State University for my undergraduate studies, graduating in 1998. Shortly after, I moved to Atlanta to pursue my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University), with a focus on child and family assessment, graduating in 2001. To be closer to home, I transferred to the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO, where I earned my PsyD in 2006, emphasizing marriage and family therapy. During my pre-doctoral internship at Nebraska Mental Health Centers, I gained invaluable experience in an integrated healthcare setting, providing both medical and behavioral health services. My postdoctoral fellowship at Western Missouri Mental Health Center through the University of Missouri-Kansas City further honed my skills in evaluating and treating severely and persistently mentally ill adults and children as young as six years old. My career has largely been dedicated to the nonprofit sector and federally qualified health centers, and I currently work for the Family Court of St. Louis County, Missouri. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including anger management, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, psychosis and schizophrenia, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth services for those who prefer or require remote sessions. In therapy, I believe in a collaborative and compassionate approach, where we work together to navigate your challenges and achieve your goals.

Was never seen or contact before or during when the provider didn't show up. If they don't do Saturdays it shouldn't be highlighted as an option. I tried to contact the other platform using the office another number and no one available on Saturdays or weekend to help.
