Psychotherapist
274 Madison Ave, Rm 1501, New York, NY
The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. *After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Columbia University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health care. My professional journey began supporting individuals through therapeutic activities and crisis intervention, helping them feel safe and supported during their mental health journeys. Later, at a community senior center, I conducted mental health assessments, led wellness groups, and connected clients with resources to enhance their overall well-being. These experiences deepened my dedication to providing compassionate, personalized care. I have significant experience supporting adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and trauma-related difficulties. I specialize in helping individuals through life transitions, depression, and cultural identity-related stress. My approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a practical, evidence-based method for identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns, with narrative therapy, which explores the stories we tell ourselves and how they shape our lives. I often integrate mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to support emotional regulation and self-reflection. As a trilingual clinician, I am particularly attuned to the cultural complexities that influence mental health, and I create a space where all aspects of your identity feel seen and supported. Outside of my work, I value connection and self-care through simple, grounding moments, sharing a meal with a friend, watching movies, or listening to music. These moments help me stay centered and bring my full presence to the people I work with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before beginning sessions, I want clients to know that therapy with me is a collaborative process. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to set the pace of our work together. Your experiences and goals will guide every step of our sessions. My hope is to help you build greater self-awareness, resilience, and a stronger sense of connection to yourself and others. I work relationally, meaning that our therapeutic relationship will be a central part of the healing process. I am culturally responsive and mindful of the unique contexts that shape each person’s life. When appropriate, I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and to develop strategies for change. Narrative therapy is also central to my work, as it allows us to explore the meaning behind your experiences and create new, empowering ways of viewing your story. Mindfulness and self-compassion practices may be introduced to support you in staying grounded and caring for yourself during challenging times. My goal is to meet you where you are with curiosity, care, and the belief that change is always possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, we will focus on building a foundation of trust and understanding. I will invite you to share what brings you to therapy, and we’ll work together to identify your goals. We may explore the challenges you’re facing, the ways your past experiences have shaped you, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. As sessions progress, we will combine exploration with practical strategies. Using CBT, we might examine unhelpful patterns of thinking and practice techniques to shift them. Narrative therapy could involve re-examining the stories you’ve internalized about yourself and exploring how those narratives affect your current life. I may also introduce mindfulness practices to help you stay present and manage difficult emotions. I see therapy as a flexible, evolving process. Each session will be tailored to your needs, and I will regularly check in to ensure the work we are doing feels meaningful and supportive. My role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, insight, and encouragement as you navigate life’s challenges and build a greater sense of possibility.
