I have found that my greatest joy comes from helping clients become self-actualized. I believe the first step is building a meaningful therapeutic relationship with the client. Taking an integrative approach to therapy is important to me, as it allows me to view people through a holistic lens. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint John's University, which has equipped me with the skills to support clients effectively. ?Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know.? - Pema Chodron

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have worked with many different populations including people coping with substance abuse, dual diagnoses, LGBTQ, veterans and people who have experienced trauma. I have a real passion for people in LGBTQ community and people who have dealt with trauma and veterans. I have worked with individuals with depression, anxiety and people dealing with interpersonal and adjustment issues. My practice and approach is individualized to each patient's specific needs. I think that the strength to overcome traumatic events and show such resilience in the face of so much tragedy is an amazing feat. It is important to help clients recognize that strength and determination in order to continue living their life to the fullest. I practice from a multicultural perspective, which encapsulates all individuals from various backgrounds struggling with various emotional/mental health needs. I have utilized several therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT and Trauma-informed care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Thank you for booking an appointment with us! Once your appointment has been confirmed by one of our team members, the following steps must be completed prior to attending your session: 1. You must fill out all of our new patient paperwork and upload a photo ID and picture of your insurance card (if applicable). Should you not receive this email from us, please reach out to us for more information. 2. Should you have insurance, your insurance benefits will be checked 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you have a deductible/copayment responsibility or are paying out-of-pocket, you will receive another email with a link to make a payment online after paperwork is submitted. 3. If you do not have a deductible/copayment for services, a link will still be sent to consent to receive telehealth services. 4. After payment/consent is provided, you will automatically receive a link with instructions on how to attend your remote session. You can find the link and instructions at the bottom of the automated confirmation email. You will receive the link to attend your session only after all of the steps indicated above are completed. If your appointment is coming up and you have yet to receive the link to attend your appointment, check your emails or reach out to the office directly as a step may have been missed. Please be advised that our office only accepts patients that are located in New York State. Should you reside elsewhere, we will not be able to accept you as a client at this time due to insurance restrictions and due to the fact that all of our providers are based locally and do not provide round-the-clock care in the event of an emergency.

Never was seen.I made an appointment and filled all applicable documents required for the appointment. I was never contacted by the office to inform me why my provider did not contact me for my appointment. When contacting the office my call was disconnected before speaking to any one. I will not recommend. I have made this appointment to get mental health assistance and did not receive any assistance or explanation why I was not seen.
