Victoria Davis, LMHC

Psychotherapist
NY
Hi there, I'm Victoria! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor who works with individuals and couples to better understand the patterns keeping them stuck and create meaningful, lasting change. I’m pursuing my PhD in Mental Health Counseling, allowing me to integrate the latest research with compassionate, evidence-base care. My focus I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, trauma and patterns of overthinking. I help clients better understand themselves, break unhelpful cycles, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. My approach My approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and emotion-focused therapies. In practice, this means we focus on both what’s happening in your present life and the deeper patterns that may be shaping your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My communication style My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also encouraging reflection and growth. I balance empathy with practical feedback, helping clients feel understood while working toward meaningful and lasting change. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to counseling by a genuine curiosity about people and a desire to understand how our experiences shape the way we think, feel, and connect. My clinical work, research, and doctoral training continue to deepen my approach and allow me to bring both compassion and evidence-based care to my clients.
