Welcome to the start of your journey of transformation. I am a clinical psychologist specializing in growth and transformation, holding a PsyD from Our Lady of the Lake University. As a humanistic psychologist, I see you as a whole person and work with you on your path to a better you. My approach I use humanistic methods to help clients discover the best version of themselves. This is achieved through techniques drawn from depth psychology, post-modern psychology, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am also certified in clinical hypnosis, which can be a powerful tool in overcoming thoughts and feelings that block you from achieving your goals. My focus I meet clients where they are. I see people as humans first and welcome anyone seeking change in their life. I view each life as a story with a past, present, and future. My communication style I invite clients with warmth, acceptance, and curiosity-exploring their life story, how they view themselves, and the person they want to become. My journey to mental healthcare My experiences with psychologists inspired me to become one. Diagnosed with dysgraphia at age 10, a psychologist helped me understand that I was intelligent but needed to approach things differently. After serving 20 years in the military, I retired with a desire to use my experiences to help others. My goals for you Hope, purpose, and meaning require two fundamental components: a goal and a pathway. Often, fear, hopelessness, helplessness, and insecurity prevent people from finding these.
