What should a new client know about working with you?

I employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I may also call upon Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and other therapies. You and I will collaborate to determine which modality will best fit your individual needs & strengths.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our work together, you can expect a supportive and collaborative space where your experiences, strengths, and goals are valued. In the first two or three sessions, we will focus on building trust and rapport—this foundation is essential for meaningful therapeutic work. During this time, I’ll get to know you and what matters most to you. We’ll be identifying the areas of your life you'd like to focus on and refine treatment plan goals so that they accurately reflect your unique strengths and needs. Clients who are willing to work outside of therapy sessions as well as inside therapy sessions will see the most long lasting change. The work you do outside of therapy—whether it’s practicing a new skill, journaling, or simply noticing patterns—can make a powerful difference in your healing.
