Dr. Hetrick is a Board Certified neurologist with a subspecialty in the treatment of headaches. After obtaining his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, he served in the U.S. Army as part of the medical corps for 8 years. He began neurology training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and completed his residency at Medical College of Virginia. He later completed fellowship training in headache and facial pain at Barrow Neurological Institute here in Phoenix.
Dr. Hetrick opened his own practice, Foothills Neurology, in 1998.

I saw Robin first. She took my history & completed the basic neuro exam. When tbe doctor came in, he made reasonabke suggestions to try to help me manage my headaches better. I was pleased that he actually did seem to understand my situation.

When you arrive, the personnel quickly work to make sure you are ready to be seen. Once you get to the exam room, questions and concerns are quickly dealt with in preparation of the Dr. coming into the room. A course of action is determined and then preparation is made to work in that direction.
The direct discussion is nice. The readiness to "do something" is there (rather than a "wait and see" attitude).

My husband had his first appointment with Dr. Hetrick yesterday. We waited 2 weeks to get in and it was definitely worth the wait. We first met with NP Susan and then with both her and Dr. Hetrick. Both were very thorough and knew their stuff!
