Oral illness is a severe public health issue. It primarily affects children and adults in most societies and can have profound personal, societal, and economic implications.


The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) performed a statewide Third Grade Basic Screening Survey (BSS) of third-grade kids enrolled in Georgia public and charter schools during the 2016-2017 academic year.
