If you would like an ultrasound on the same day as your new OB appointment, details will be provided in your ZocDoc appointment confirmation email.** *** In most cases for IUD/Nexplanon insertion, 5 business days are necessary to confirm insurance coverage and is not included in annual exams/pap smears. IUD/Nexplanon insertion is done during a woman's menstrual cycle, or if she is on another reliable form of contraception, or if she has not had intercourse for 2 weeks. Please schedule your appointment accordingly. *** Dr. Abbe Kordik is an experienced gynecologist and obstetrician determined to provide expert care to women. Dr. Kordik specializes in pregnancy and childbirth care, general gynecology, colposcopy, contraception, twin pregnancies and preconception counseling. Dr. Kordik is available for exams and consultations at the University of Chicago Medicine Hyde Park campus and South Loop Center of Advanced Care locations in Chicago, IL. Dr. Kordik was great! I am new to the city and was stressed about finding a new doctor. I scheduled my annual exam with Dr. Kordik and everything went well. Any concerns that were brought up were addressed by the doctor, and all questions were answered. It was a quick visit but I did not feel rushed in any way.

Dr K was easy to talk to about concerns and not judgmental
at all about busy moms who let their screenings slide for a couple years??also excellent follow up on recommendations. I will definitely be returning to her as my regular OB/GYN, she’s worth the drive downtown!!!

This was one of the first and only times i felt my provider was listening too me - not to mention I was actually seen by doctor I selected and scheduled with. So many times ive scheduled and appointment with a doctor and been seen by someone else.
Abby was very attentive to my detailed list of symptoms and ideas and clearly explained what our plan of action was. I also felt that the nurse was super attentive and cared about what was going on with me.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Kordik. Pap smears are about my least favorite things in the world and she made it quick, easy, and painless and was very gentle and patient with me. She also answered all my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. The office also worked seamlessly with my insurance which has been a problem for me in the past.

Dr. Kordik was wonderful! I was checked in and taken into the examination room before I could even take a seat in the waiting room! Throughout my exam, Dr. Kordik kept me at ease and as comfortable as humanly possible! I usually dread visits to the ob-gyn but with Dr. Kordik, I must say it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected!
