About Dr. Adel Ebraheem

Dr. Adel Ebraheem is an experienced optometrist with extensive clinical, academic, and research training in eye care. His background includes advanced training in ophthalmology, retina and vitreous disease, cornea and refractive surgery, and neuro-ophthalmology, allowing him to bring a comprehensive approach to evaluating and managing a wide range of eye and vision concerns. Dr. Ebraheem earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tripoli and completed postgraduate training in ophthalmology. He later pursued advanced training in cornea and corneal refractive surgery . Dr. Ebraheem has continued to expand his expertise through advanced education in neuro-ophthalmology and has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). He also serves as a Maryland State Board Examiner in Optometry and has served as a National Board of Optometry Examiner. In addition to patient care, Dr. Ebraheem has a strong academic and research background. He previously served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed ophthalmology and vision-science publications, with work involving retinal disease, age-related macular degeneration, ocular imaging, dry eye, and other ophthalmic conditions. Dr. Ebraheem believes that excellent eye care begins with a thorough evaluation and clear communication. He takes the time to help patients understand their eye health, treatment options, and recommended follow-up care.
