About Dr. Ahmed Heshmat
We have an onsite phlebotomist for convenient lab services through LabCorp. Our practice also provides weight management, addiction treatment, obesity care, joint injections if needed, and trigger point release.

A resident of Montgomery County for 25 years, Dr. Heshmat is a board-certified Family Practice physician who has been providing care to patients at Shady Grove Hospital, where he serves as the chair of Family Practice. He graduated from Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and completed his residency at Howard University Hospital, where he was chief resident from 2000 to 2001. He provides care at seven local nursing and rehabilitation centers.
Dr. Heshmat has over 12 years of diverse experience in various medical settings, including speaking engagements and journal publications. He is certified in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Management, with six years of experience treating patients in emergency room and urgent care settings. He is also an international speaker on Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, Dr. Heshmat enjoys traveling, playing tennis, biking, and swimming. His hobbies include photography and assembling miniature boats.
