About Dr. Alan Lee
Alan Hsieh Lee, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Keck Medicine of USC. He is passionate about helping patients recover from injuries and return to the physical activities they enjoy. He also serves as a team physician for USC Athletics.
As a surgeon, Dr. Lee endeavors to keep patients out of the operating room whenever possible. He maximizes nonoperative modalities such as biologics and other novel therapeutics first before utilizing surgical options.
Dr. Lee emphasizes a comprehensive approach to health. Rather than focusing only on fixing the immediate problem, he works with patients to understand what caused the injury and develops rehabilitation strategies to help prevent a recurrence.

When he’s not fixing injured knees and shoulders, Dr. Lee enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling, rooting for his alma mater (Go Blue!) and discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants. He is conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
