“I was very pleased with Dr. Bockhorst, very polite, very understanding as I told him I was leaving to go to Fl on request of my son, he wished me good luck and said that when I am ready to leave, I am to ask for copies of records for my new Dr. He also renewed my latanoprost to last me for quite a while. It is ready to be picked up today. GREAT SERVICE!!”

Dr. Alex Bockhorst is originally from Lake Forest, California. His passion for eye health began at a young age after he had worn glasses and contacts since third grade and saw firsthand the impact of vision conditions within his family, including a history of glaucoma and macular degeneration. This personal connection to eye care inspired him to help others protect and preserve their vision. With a patient-first approach, Dr. Bockhorst treats every individual with respect and the highest level of care, as if they were family. Education and Medical Training Dr. Bockhorst graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2015. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society and graduated in the top ten of his class in 2022. Accolades As a Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society member, he graduated in 2022 in the top ten of his class. Dr. Bockhorst is also an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). Personal Interests Outside of work, Dr. Bockhorst enjoys golfing, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife and dog.

I had a very pleasant experience at Southwest Eye Center and Dr Bochhorst. The staff were very knowledgeable and professional and friendly as well. I particularly liked the good Dr. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly in a way I could understand and recommended products to help me. It was a very good experience.

I can't say enough good things about Alex Bockhorst, OD. He is thorough, answers any questions, puts 100% of his knowledge and time making sure you get an honest eye exam. I have been very happy with the service from Dr. Bockhorst and will recommend to anyone needing a great OD. .

Doctor Alex is a great professional and I have all appreciation for him. Beyond being a wonderful ophthalmologist he is one of the best human beings I have ever come across. He took care of the eye exams of me and my husband as a son would do for his elderly parents. May he continue to serve with same vigor and dedication for countless years. He is one of the best.

I was greeted with pleasantness ,and professionalism from the time I walked into the check-in center , and then the exam area's also . Dr. Bockhorst was very precise about his findings and recommendations for me . I was Very happy to Quickly agree with his recommendations, and I'm excited that I will soon have my "Eagle Eye's" back again ????
