About Dr. Alice Glaubach-Mann
Dr. Alice Mann graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City University of New York, Queens College, with a B.A. in Psychology. She then went on to attend the State University of New York College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree and graduated Valedictorian of her class. Upon graduation, Dr. Mann was asked to join the staff of SUNY College of Optometry and worked as a clinical instructor for several years. She then joined Focal Point Optical, where she has been caring for her patients for the past 32 years.
In 2020, during the “shelter in place” portion of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mann studied and became certified to fit the only FDA-approved soft multifocal contact lens that controls myopia progression in children (ages 8–12). It is called the “Brilliant Futures” program and utilizes a breakthrough contact lens called “MiSight,” by CooperVision. She has found great success with this lens in minimizing myopic progression in children who qualify to be fit with this therapeutic contact lens.
In her spare time, Dr. Mann likes to stay active; she enjoys bike riding, rollerblading, and taking brisk walks. She also enjoys spending time with her now-grown children and her adorable 3-year-old granddaughter.

Dr. Mann is extremely friendly and approachable with impeccable bedside manner. She listens to your concerns and gives clear instruction on what she’s doing. Creates a very welcoming environment from the beginning to end. Highly recommend her and her office, will surely be coming back!

The Dr. Was amazing , she is very knowledgeable and provided positive solution to my problem. She made me feel very comfortable while in her care. I will definitely revisit. The front desk however, they are clueless as to who I was , what I am there for . I want to make it very clear , the doctor was phenomenal. The front desk staff needs proper training and needs to know of HIPPA. They asked out aloud your personal information while other strangers are in the room .On my first visit , I felt ignored by the staff ( not the doctor to be clear) . I will trust the doctor with my care at anytime. Thank you Dr for an amazing job well done .
