About Dr. Alissa Long
I am an optometrist who is passionate about patients and their vision. I truly enjoy getting to know patients, and having a positive impact on their vision and day-to-day function is very fulfilling! A native of Iowa, I have been in the Delaware area since 2010.
I graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. I then obtained my Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. My education in Optometry school was second to none. I was able to gain valuable expertise in many areas: general eye exams, medical eye exams and evaluations (diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration), and contacts lens evaluations.
I am a proud member of the Delaware Optometric Association. I look forward to assuming the role of President in March 2025. I advocate for patients and our profession both in the state of Delaware and in Washington DC.
