About Dr. Allyson Estess
Dr. Estess is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine, completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Los Angeles General Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Elbow Surgery under Dr. Gregory J. Adamson, MD, at Congress Medical Associates. She is also trained in orthopedic trauma, treating both adult and pediatric fractures and other musculoskeletal injuries.
As an avid runner and former Division 1 collegiate and US National Team soccer player, she understands patients' desire to return to sport as quickly and safely as possible when sidelined. Her surgical expertise and ability to empathize with her patients allow Dr. Estess to personalize individual treatments and help athletes of all ages and levels return to pain-free activity and athletic competition. In addition, Dr. Estess serves as one of the team physicians for the United States Women's National Soccer Team (US WNT).

Very quick and impersonal care that seemed rushed. Didn't provide any additional care or information over what was already done at the ER over a month ago. For issues she only gave a short list of possibilities quickly, didn't elaborate much on them, and didn't offer any assistance in further steps or tests to find correct solution. Was not offered physical therapy recommendations for a broken bone, I had to actually ask for it. Very standoffish and rude when it came to discussing disability insurance. I will never be going back.

I hadn't even finished my paperwork when someone came to take me to my x-rays (super fast, although it was a Monday morning), after x-rays I was only waiting about 5 minutes before she came to see me.
