About Dr. Amina Abdeldaim

I am originally from Queens, NY. From an early age, I knew I was going to be a doctor and went to college at Johns Hopkins with that plan. I majored in International Relations as I had a feeling I would soon become submerged in the medical world and wanted to study something completely different. I spent a year at the NIH after college, which was incredibly formative for me, despite not pursuing a research career. I did both medical school and residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC. I had a particular interest in Asthma and ended up at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for Allergy/Immunology training. During specialty training, I earned a Master's of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to starting a private practice, I was at NYU Langone, where I developed a drug desensitization program in addition to running an academic allergy outpatient practice. In addition to my private practice, I am a medical director for an allergy start-up. I look forward to treating patients with all types of allergic disease and serving as a resource for those who have more complicated allergy histories and require personalized attention and action planning. I have a particular interest in sublingual immunotherapy. In addition to my private practice, I am a medical director for an allergy start-up.
