Dr. Amy Falk is a residency-trained and board certified Optometrist who specializes in ocular disease. After completing her training at the New England College of Optometry in 2004, Dr. Falk went on to complete a residency in advanced ocular disease at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brockton, MA. After residency, Dr. Falk spent nine years in private practice in Rhode Island. It was here that her love for the people of Rhode Island developed. In 2014, Dr. Falk was recruited to the MCPHS University School of Optometry to serve as the Associate Dean. She developed and directed both the clinical and didactic programs there. Working with the University, she opened three community vision centers located in under served areas of Massachusetts. At the same time, Dr. Falk also brought specialty vision care to under served populations in Massachusetts. Because of her work, Dr. Falk was nominated for both the Rising Star Award from the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry and the Theia Award for Women in Optometry. In 2017, Dr. Falk won the Trustees Award for Teaching Excellence from MCPHS University. Dr. Falk continues to teach in the fields of posterior segment ocular disease and glaucoma. She has lectured at numerous conferences and published in these areas. Dr. Falk, her husband, and two children have lived in Rhode Island since 2004. She has returned to practice in the Ocean State and now offers her expert level of care to her friends and neighbors.
