About Dr. Amy Gueye
Dr. Gueye is among the top OBGYN doctors in the United States and internationally. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia, completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Her rigorous training has made her an expert in her field and a tertiary referral for second opinions and difficult cases. In addition to her excellent medical care, Dr. Gueye is known for her warmth and compassion. Patients have followed her everywhere she goes for the type of medical care that has become hard to find.
Dr. Gueye is also a mother of two, writes children’s books and historical fiction, and is the founder of the HALFA nonprofit, which has been saving the lives of women in Africa since 2012. She is the recipient of numerous awards and conducted research at the National Cancer Institute on malaria and breast cancer genomics. She is among the pioneers of the see-and-treat cervical dysplasia method used in resource-poor settings worldwide, a project she led while still in medical school.
Please note that due to high demand for Dr. Gueye’s expertise and a large concierge panel, we are only scheduling new patients with her for problem visits and complex consultations, as well as new concierge patients (space is limited). We are excited to have Dr. McCray join our team, a women’s health nurse practitioner with advanced training in gynecology. All new preventative and routine visits, including contraception management, will be scheduled with Dr. McCray, with the ability to see Dr. Gueye when needed. Both providers work closely together, and Dr. McCray has stellar reviews.
