About Dr. Amy Guyer

Dr. Amy Guyer has been practicing optometry since 2011. After completing her undergraduate degree at NC State University, she went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She has practiced a wide scope of optometry, including primary care, pediatric vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, glaucoma, refractive and cataract surgery care, and dry eye treatments. She has a passion for helping her patients see their best so they can enjoy the world with clarity. She seeks to personalize the vision care experience by understanding her patients' unique vision demands and lifestyles, and tailoring glasses and contact lenses to those demands. Eye health can be a window into general wellness, and she stresses the importance of regular comprehensive eye exams for overall well-being. Originally settling in the Lake Norman area, Dr. Guyer has made a home in Charlotte since 2020. It's the perfect mid-size city with all the culture and fun big cities have to offer without the congestion. Away from work, you can find her running or biking around the city or on the greenways and cheering on Charlotte's local sports teams with her husband and four children.
