“All the staff were super cordial and smiling. The initial assistant that did my exams was really informative, professional and genuine during conversation. The doctor was very professional, really informative and did an amazing job walking me through each step. I got to see my retina scans and she explained what was going on with my eyes. The prices for the exams, new frames and new lenses were extremely competitive and I couldn’t be happier. I will be a loyal customer for as long as they are open.”

“Review for Dr. Sickman and Staff
Dr. Sickman is an excellent doctor, and I was particularly impressed in two ways. First, she is very friendly, polite, and communicates with her patients in a highly professional manner. She takes the time to listen and talk with her patients, which makes you feel comfortable and valued. Second, she explains medical issues clearly, ensuring that patients fully understand their condition and treatment.
Overall, my experience was very positive. The front desk staff were welcoming and professional, and the technician who conducted the pre-exam procedures was also efficient and knowledgeable.
The only concern I had was regarding the assistance with selecting glasses and understanding pricing. While this may not entirely be their fault, I felt that I did not receive enough help in that area.
Despite this, I highly recommend Dr. Sickman and her team for their excellent care and professionalism.”

About Dr. Amy Sickman Parsley
Dr. Amy Sickman-Parsley is pleased to provide comprehensive patient-centered eye care as part of the Hermitage Eye Care team. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she attended the University of Missouri where she received her degree in Biological Sciences with a Spanish minor. Dr. Sickman-Parsley graduated magna cum laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
During optometry school, she was involved in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, a student organization that provides vision and eye health exams to communities living in poverty and participated in mission trips to Honduras, Mexico, and Colombia. Following optometry school, Dr. Sickman-Parsley completed an additional year of advanced residency training at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Virginia.
Dr. Sickman-Parsley joined as a FAAO (Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry) in 2020.

The office was great. Doctor took a good amount of time to address our specific concerns. My husband is a mechanic and needs glasses that have magnifying on top and bottom but not in the middle. They had a great option for it! Other people told us it was not a thing that could be done. Very pleased!
