About Dr. An Nguyen
Dr. An Nguyen joined McGovern Allergy & Asthma Clinic in the summer of 2023! She obtained her doctorate from UT Southwestern and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine. During her fellowship, she did research on the role of vitamin D in the immunomodulation of allergic diseases as well as the role of fungi in sinus disease and asthma. Given her own personal experience with allergies and eczema, Dr. Nguyen chose to specialize in Allergy and Immunology. She believes in using her own experience to empathize with her patients and to provide education for patients.
Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society, the Greater Houston Allergy Society, the Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology and treats adults and children.
Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys road biking, hiking, rock climbing, traveling to different countries with her husband, and earning the affection of her cat. She is also a food enthusiast and enjoys cooking. In addition to English, Dr. Nguyen can speak Spanish and Vietnamese and is proud to serve these communities!

Doctor was amazing! She really made me feel heard, but the office was old and male nurse was kind of cold/ off putting. The office also used some old equipment which could be updated.

I just had an amazing experience with Dr. Nguyen and her team! I booked an appointment last night and got in the very next day without any issue. The moment I stepped into the office, I was quickly taken care of by Teressa, and the rest of the front desk team. They got me sorted with the paperwork and soon I was back in the room. Dr. Nguyen and her team were incredibly attentive; they listened to every detail of my concerns without rushing me at all. Dr. Nguyen was thorough in her examination and provided me with effective treatment. What really struck me was their level of organization and genuine care. It's evident that they prioritize their patients' well-being. If you're dealing with allergies, I highly recommend paying them a visit. Dr. Nguyen and her team truly go above and beyond!

Dr. Nguyen personally reviewed all of the items on the copious paperwork I filled out to make sure she had the whole story on my allergies. I was able to get tested right away so I had answers before I left. She also made sure I was clear and comfortable with the next steps (future appts, medication) at the end of my appointment. I was extremely impressed with my visit today. I was seen immediately, and found the MA, Brittany to be very kind and personable! Dr. Nguyen was so kind and thorough. Ran a battery of tests, and prescribed an appropriate treatment plan:). I will definitely return, and will refer my friends, family and associates to her:)
