Amazing doctors office the staff is beyond friendly
She was very sweet and understanding. The staff is great and answer all your questions. I'm definitely going back there
I had an appointment at 11:10 on Tue 08/15. I Got there at 10:50 then waited till 13:45 to be seen. I wouldnt have chance to see doctor if I didnt keep asking the receptionist. That is very bad service
The doctor and staff are really nice but the wait time is ridiculously long like my apt was at 130 and i didn't leave until 5
Dr Olanescu is really nice and gentle. The appointment however took many hours as there were many patient booked close together.
Very nice ..
Great doctors, but poor and unprofessional staff.
The worst office I have ever been. I can explain why: 1. The receptionist asked me for a reason of my visit right in the waiting room. The answer that I came for a annual check wasn't satisfactory. She wanted to know what problems I have. This is huge HIPAA violation! 2. They discussed another patient's case in a hallway so I heard every detail - no comments on that! 3. They did ultrasound only on one side. -What is supposed to mean?! "One ovary is fine, so we don't care about another one". 4. I can't get resoults of my tests by mail or e-mail even if I did a request; an appointment only and in two weeks ?? 5. I came there at 1:30pm and left at 4:20pm! 6. Lady which did ultrasound didn't change gloves from previous patient. - Thanks god! She didn't touched me 7. they don't care about the quality of a service and don't perform a normal inspection, their goal is just collecting money from insurance companies. What is going on?! They are not afraid to be sued at all! I am going to make an appointment in another office next week. I don't trust those guys.
What we discussed was completely different than what actually happened. Looking for another OB. Was charged and did not go through my insurance for some reason.
Very happy and the doctor is excellent
Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. I felt so unwelcomed and doctor doesn't give a flying hoot. Saw her for less than 3 minutes. She walked out of the room and gave me no direction as to what to do next. Front desk staff has no idea what they're doing. I specifically asked for no papers to be sent home as was told no info would be sent to my house, next thing I know there's a letter in the mail with my test results. No system in place.
I waited for three hours and saw the doctor for literally 30 seconds. Did not even have a breast exam.
It was very pleasant I would definitely recommended.
Front desk did not encourage me to become a patient with DR. O she actually told me to leave...also zoc doc dosnt forward appointments to doctor so they didnt even know.
I have been seeing the doctor for almost 11 years. She's amazing. A wonderful doctor. Her office in the other hand not so much. They told me that they didn't know I had an appointment because it was my first time using zocdoc to book an appointment with them. Waited for so long.
The place is nice enough, but very busy and disorganized. Why I'm giving such a bad review is the billing process. I received the bill from a 3rd party who cannot process the payment, the statement says you have to make payment in person at the surgery, which is wrong. Eventually try calling and they take the payment but it never gets pushed back to the billing company. Despite paying I still receive the bill, the billing company eventually returns my call and asks me to call the doctor to get proof. I then have to call the doctor and they can't help, just take my number. Eventually sort the problem by having. to sent my statement to prove I paid. Wasted annhour of my time at work, because of course all this needs to be done in office hours. Won't be returning.
desk claimed they no longer work with zocdoc? yet they are still listed...they let me keep my appointment as they should.
They said they are not afflicted with zocdoc
Terrible experience..I was the first appointment, however I waited an hour an a half to see the doctor. She allowed 5 mins of her time to do a test and never saw her afterwards.I left with a prescription for 2 antibiotics that I wasn't sure what they were for.Another thing was that a Pap Smear test result would arrive in 3 weeks, never heard such a long time.Anyways,I am more concerned to why the antibiotics were prescribed but I guess I have to wait 3 weeks to find out and not only that but I was told I would see the office manager not even the doctor, whom I have told her I was planning to have a baby and that was the primary reason of my visit.I'm totally confused with this lack of communication, will go back for results and probably choose a different doctor.I'm sorry, first impression was terrible????
Hi They said they stopped making appointment with zoo Doc and I told them I have emergency than they said okay.
Unprofessional and office is not properly managed!
Please don't waste your time and find another doctor. Never have I had such an unprofessional experience with a doctors office. I waited almost two hours to see the doctor. And I was the first patient of the day with no one in front of me.
Service average. The place is very crowded and the waiting time is more than 4 hours for a simple checkup. The staff is very stress out because they are very busy or they do not like to work there. Therefore, I suggest you to look for another doctor. Bad, bad …feeling about that place…..
Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming HOWEVER I had a 10:35 am appointment and wasn't 'finished' with my visit until 2pm! I didn't even get into an exam room until noon. Everything felt very rushed. There was very little explaining of anything. I made the appointment to start taking birth control and I wasnt really walked through my options. I was asked whether I wanted the patch or the pill and I said I'd been thinking about the pill and that was the end of the discussion. I was also made to do things (urine sample, ultrasound) that don't feel like they are common, routine procedure. I am nervous that these won't be covered by my limited insurance and I will end up paying for exams I did not need!
I waited 3 hours to see the Doctor. None of my Zoc Doc paperwork was there, I had to redo it all.
The doctor is very busy and has many patients. The wait is usually long but I really like the doctor.
I never could've imagined waiting so long anywhere. 2 and half hours before being spoken to by anyone. I had to push another appt back when I had already set them two hours apart. She barely said two words to me and I never got to ask her any of the questions I had. She never even said bye. I would never go back, and hope everyone reads my comment so you don't have to go through what I did.
Doctor had left the office without notifying anyone. They had me switch rooms three different times. During mid sonogram, the medical assistant's phone rang, and she left me on the table covered in gel to have a conversation. It was a horrible experience.
Made a 10 am appointment. Doctor didn't arrive until after 11:30. The assistants and nurses were all nice enough but gave me the impression that this kind of thing happens regularly. I did not see the doctor until 1:15 pm. I would have left if I didn't need a new bc Rx. I also had a scan done (at the request of another doctor), and I was never contacted with the results. bedside manner wasn't terrible, but I couldn't get a question in, and saw her for no more than 2 minutes (and I'm unfortunately not exaggerating).
It was horrible! Crowed / late / confusion / bad managed I paid a lot of money from my pocket and I didn't have 10 minutes to talk to the doctor... HORRiBLE!
I was there for approximately 4 hours. I saw the doctor for 5 minutes. I briefly mentioned wanting to do a procedure. She told me that shows I am well informed, then finished up the pap smear, walked out and had an attendant come in and give me a paper to give to the receptionist to schedule the procedure appointment. Um? Ok? I guess this is happening? No way... Never again for this place. Operates worse than a clinic.
You may have to wait a while, but that's because Dr. Olanescu genuinely cares and spends time with her patients. So do her nurses and full staff. I've seen some of her staff hold crying patients and rock them and talk to them until they felt better. She understands and loves women. I'm lucky to have found her.
Never again! Three hour wait!
Wait time is horrible. Every time I go there I wait 2+ hours for a 10 min appointment. Won't be returning.
I will not be going again. The wait was super long, over 3 hours when i had an appt, she was completely over booked!! After waiting for 3 hours, i saw her for maybe 1 minute, literally. Also, no point in filling out Zocdoc paperwork, because i had to fill out everything all over at the office. WILL NEVER GO BACK!
Dr. Olanescu and her staff are all amazing. Every one is so friendly and welcoming. They really care about their patients. The only complaint I would have is the wait time. She has so many patients, but this mist be a good sign. Everyone wants to see her because she is the best. I don't mind the long waits with an office as great as them.
Unlike many of the reviews here, I did not wait as long as I though I would, maybe 30-35 minutes since I arrived. My time with her was very short though. Less than 3 minutes. I saw her aides more than I saw her. After she told me her diagnosis, I didn't even have time to process my thoughts and think of questions that would help me understand what was going on. I never saw her again after she left my room. I just got my prescriptions from her aide and then it was done, just like that. Although she was very friendly, she didn't give me a chance to ask more questions to understand my condition.
I will start off with a positive - the nurses are sweet, it was Halloween and they gave candy to the entire wait room. I say entire wait room because it was packed with people since 10 AM and the Dr. was not even there yet. I waited two hours, even though I had a 10 AM appt. The receptionist were not familiar with the actual rights of the in network insurance and were giving me misinformation. When I informed them I did know my rights they backed off. I got what I needed to get done (annual checkup) but it wasn't a pleasant experience.
I waited for 3 hours, only to be seen by the doctor for maybe 2 minutes. She is very nice but didn't answer or discuss anything with me that I previously told the nurse I wanted to discuss. I won't nevn go back there, the wait is horrible way overbooked for one doctor.
The doctor is a very sweet lady, I saw her for a little while but since I had a pregnancy check up I spoke about someone else. I cant remember her name right now but she was great! They have up to date equipment and really listen to my concerns. I think ill be coming here from now on.
If you feel like spending a minimum of 2 hours (WITH AN APPOINTMENT) sitting somewhere with other restless patients, come here. Front desk is used to ignoring patients since the wait time is so excessive. You see at least three different technicians before seeing the doctor for a few minutes. They refuse to tell you how youre doing while performing an exterior sonogram even though they are looking right at it. They make you book another appointment for results. No one took my weight or blood pressure.
Very professional, great medical team and nice people. Everyone was very helpful and made me feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend it.
Today was my last appointment with them since I'm moving upstate. The only thing that I was disappointed about was they said they didn't have my appointment for today. Luckily, they were able to get me in.
This office wins the prize for the nicest and most efficient STAFF and DOCTOR in Astoria! Sweet, kind, organized, knowledgeable.
Had to switch doctors because the wait is HORRIBLE! Even if you show up early for your appointment, it doesn't matter. The front desk ladies are nice but are pretty slow with their paper work so the process also moves very slow because of them.
The Dr seemed great but the office was extremely busy and my appt was rushed and I waited over an hour to see her
My appointment was for 4:20 and I didn't finish until 7. Seems like they just overbook and have lost that personal touch you want from a doctors office that is dealing with your most intimate needs.
It was good . BUT THE WAIT IS TOO LONG
I wanted to avoid waiting as much as possible, so I scheduled the first appointment of the day. When I arrived, three other patients were there. Signed in, waited maybe 10 min, received paperwork and paid, waited about 20 min. Then called in to talk to the nurse, and she told me that the doctor was doing a procedure elsewhere and wasn't going to be in until about a half hour to an hour later. She said I could wait or leave and come back within the hour. I was annoyed, but I left and returned. Waited another 20 min. Finally the nurse calls me and two others in, and assigns us to three different rooms. The doctor pretty much juggles all three appointments at once, and she was in my room for not even 5 min. That was that. I came here because I needed to see someone ASAP, but probably won't return in the future.
The wait was long but it was well worth it
Over three hour wait. The office has great equipment, so a lot can be done rigtht there. That is if you have four hours to spend in the office.
The wait time kind of overshadowed everything else, waaaay too long. However, the staff was courteous and patient if a bit rushed. It wasn't the worst I've ever been to but most definitely not the best.
Dr. Andrea was absolutely wonderful and very sweet. However I wasn't thrilled with the rest of her staff. The receptionists and assistance made me feel like an inconvience. I also ended up in the waiting for my appointment 2 hours after it was scheduled.
Most horrible experience ever.
I was about 20 minutes late to my appointment because my doctors appointment before this one had run late. I called and asked if I could still come and they said it was no problem whatsoever. When I arrived they asked me to sit down, I waited one hour and then asked what was going on and if I would be seeing the doctor soon. The response I got was "I have no idea- the doctor isn't even here yet". Why they would not inform me of this when I came or when I called I can't understand. The office staff was incredibly rude. Because I desperately needed to see a doctor I continued to wait. Forty minutes later was told the doctor had arrived and I would be seen soon. Waited 30 more minutes, checked in again and was told the doctor had left again. All told I waited almost 3 hours and never even saw the doctor. Came back later because again if was desperate. The doctor was fine but getting my test results has taken 15 phone calls and more than an hour of being on hold. Would avoid this office at all costs.
There's a long time to wait to see the doctor but she is the most sympahtic and nicest doctor ever. She explain me everything and answer very detailed. Also, I speak Spanish better than English and she speaks me Spanish very well. About the staff they're very attentive and nice.
Dr. Olanescu is great, very professional. However she did have an emergency at the hospital and so I waited for 3 hours before been seen. I wish the staff would have informed me of the complications, and I would have re-scheduled.
Such an Amazing doctor- my first time. Honestly once I meet her it didn't bother me how long I waited
I went to see doctor for an unplanned pregnancy. I informed her that I wanted to know my options, including termination. She was very dismissive and did not want to discuss with me, perhaps out of her own personal views, which I understand. However, it seemed to me very unprofessional, since this is the time when one needs guidance, especially if this is the first time. I had to see another professional to discuss my options, which makes me feel that I wasted my time seeing this doctor.
