About Dr. Angela Costa

Dr. Angela Costa started practicing optometry in Lexington in 2005, but quickly recognized that she wanted to be different, so she founded Vision thru Design in 2012. Now, she is able to combine her caring nature with her remarkable expertise for the best overall eye exam. She has a Bachelors of Science in Biology from her undergraduate studies at Centre College and University of Kentucky. Her post graduate work in Perfusion was studied at South Carolina Medical University. Dr. Costa received her Doctorate in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2005. She received her training including externs in Vision Therapy in Boca Raton, Florida and Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington. She has received humanitarian awards and participated in VOSH trips to Ecuador and Dominica Republic. Dr. Costa has been happily married since 1999. She enjoys spending her free time with her family. Especially her three boys: Andrew, Tyler and Daniel. Some of their activities she is involved with are The Lexington Football Club, Kentucky Indoor Soccer, Marlin’s Swim Team and Copperfield Swim Team. She is very proud to be an active member of Southland Christian Church.
