“Dr. Smet was super nice and clearly goal oriented aligned with the patient. She is quick though and I felt rushed at points. I would have liked more time to ask questions. Hopefully at the next appointment she’ll have more time for questions. I have a lot of medical anxiety and I’m not sure if she will have the patience to deal with me since I tend to have a lot of questions. Time will tell. She seems determined to get to the bottom of my issue and that I appreciate.”

We talked about birth control options and she answered my questions thoroughly. She supported whatever decision I made. She made me feel very comfortable, and was able to get the iud in right away!”

About Dr. Angela Marie Smet
Dr. Smet is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and supporting them through some of life’s most important—and vulnerable—moments. A Wisconsin native, Dr. Smet completed her residency training at the University of Michigan Health at Sparrow Hospital. She believes in meeting patients where they are, understanding their values, and working collaboratively to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them. She is continually inspired by the strength of her patients, many of whom are dedicated caregivers for their families and communities. For her, caring for these individuals is both a privilege and an opportunity to create a ripple effect that improves the well-being of entire communities.
Outside of work, Dr. Smet enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, traveling to new places to learn about local cultures, and spending quiet weekends with family to recharge.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Smet! I have a tremendous amount of medical trauma after surviving advance stage breast cancer in my 20s and she is the first provider I’ve seen in years that I haven’t left the office in tears afterwards. Her bedside manner is top tier and she was so funny and truly listened to my concerns. I’m beyond thankful!

Dr. Smet was so amazing! By far the nicest doctor i’ve encountered, She took the time to listen to me fully without interrupting & gave me a clear explanation on everything. I also did not feel rushed at all so I was completely comfortable. She makes sure you’re comfortable with everything & doesn’t pressure you into anything you might not be sure on doing. 10/10 experience honestly!
