About Dr. Ann Marie McDermott

Why I entered medicine
It may sound cliché, but medicine has been an inclination I held onto since I was a child. My internal drive to care for others and my love of science set me on this path. Coupled with the desire to be the first physician in my family, these intense motivations have carried me through all these years.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Initially, my interest was in pediatrics until my third-year clinicals, when the specialty of OB-GYN enticed me. I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lehigh Valley Health Network. This is the only field I have felt—and still feel—gives me a continuous sense of satisfaction over the past 20 years.

I am a member of St Jane’s Church in Easton.

I enjoy traveling, gardening, and reading fiction.

Dr. McDermott was truly professional, answered all of my questions and was very genuine. The office staff was courteous and extremely supportive. And at no time did I ever feel anxious or stress during my treatment. I highly recommend Dr. McDermott and her staff.
