About Dr. Ann Vale

Philosophy of care I am committed to providing holistic and compassionate care to women in all stages of life. Your circumstances are unique and deserving of an individualized treatment approach. One of the most important parts of the doctor-patient relationship is communication. I strive to listen actively and work with you to improve both your emotional and physical wellbeing. Why I entered medicine I have always been interested in science and health. Prior to medical school, I worked as a health care consultant and for the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In these positions, I came to appreciate the complexity of new medical devices and drugs. I saw the challenges associated with balancing access to new technology with the benefits and risks of treatment. This helped me realize I wanted to take a more active role in medicine. After a few years, I returned to Philadelphia to begin medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, where I earned my Doctor of Medicine. I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lankenau Medical Center. Community involvement Growing up, community outreach was always at the forefront of my family’s activities. Over the years, I have been involved in many organizations in the communities where I have lived. From math tutoring and mentoring future doctors to working at food banks, I have volunteer experience in many areas. I look forward to becoming more involved with the Lehigh Valley community. Personal interests In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking, gardening, swimming, playing tennis, and reading. Education I earned my bachelor’s degree from Princeton University before pursuing my medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University.
