Dr. Anthony Catipay is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced medical doctor serving the community of West Hollywood, CA. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, completed his internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Joseph Hospital.

I honestly would not recommend this office to you if you are a woman. I wasn't mistreated or disrespected, just a bit uncomfortable. One of the nurses mentioned that I was one of the few women they had come in, in awhile. I didn't take much to it and really just brushed it off , but when I was seen, the Doctor said I had some sort of infection in my throat and my ears. He didn't ask me if I felt sick lately, if I had a fever, if I had been around anyone else who was sick, or if I had been straining my vocal chords lately or anything. Later, I saw in my records that he had me tested for Chlamydia in my throat. I understand needing to get down to what was causing my throat to have an infection, BUT he did not ask a single question about my sexual life. He didn't ask if I was sexually active, he did not ask if I had possibly made contact with anyone who also had some sort of infection. NOTHING. He didn't even care to tell me that I was going to be tested for a sexually transmitted disease in my throat. It felt so odd, and honestly made me distrust the whole office so I never came back. I feel that this office is very much tailored to men, and I understand that, but I just wouldn't recommend this office to a women for the lack of transparency and ultimately I feel like if you are a young woman, assumptions will be made about you. You have to be very careful about that sort of thing with doctors. I cannot risk being misdiagnosed for something serious, due to a doctor making assumptions based on my age, race, gender, etc.

I took two covid tests here.
The first test they told me negative despite it being “not detected.” They did not explain the nuance or share important guidance on what the results of the test mean.
The first test was taken on 7/14, they didn’t call me back with results for two weeks. 5 of my friends got tests back elsewhere in <48 hours.
The second test, they didn’t call me at all. I took the test in 7/21. I had to call them leave a voicemail. And they called me today (20 days later) with the results. When I asked them why it took long they didn’t apologize.
The above are facts and not opinions.
My opinion is that this office has operational issues and isn’t taking responsibly for their shortcomings.

it’s been over a month since I had both a Covid test (nasal swab) as well as an antibody blood test and i’ve still not received the results. it’s been so long i’ve been tested twice since then elsewhere at places that delivered my negative results the next day.

I went to get a covid test. It’s been two weeks and I haven’t gotten a result. I have 5 friends that have gotten tests elsewhere, all with 24-48 hour turn around times, and they got their tests on the same day. I know this has to do with the lab, but just know you have quicker choices elsewhere.

I would not recommend this office for covid tests. It has been 12 days and no results. I was able to make another appointment at a different office and got my results back in less than 2 days.

Overall this doctor is pretty good and I chose him mostly due to proximity. There was hardly any wait time and I was satisfied with getting a basic physical there. The whole process was fast and professional.
I probably will look for a different doctor though because this office is specifically catered to lgbtq patients- which is great and definitely needed in our community, but just not for me. Plus the room where they took my blood was a bit cluttered and I feel like a space like that should be super clean and organized. However everyone was super friendly and I felt comfortable throughout my experience there.

Finding a PCP that is great for LGBT community and HIV is hard. You either end up at these super fancy beverly hills practices that charge you an arm and a leg or you end up with a non-profit clinics for the underserved population. There seemed to be no middle ground - a great doctors office with great staff - until I found The Doctor! You guys rocked my world!!! Thank you XOXOXO
